COVID-19 testing insufficient in Florida
This graph shows that the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 is strongly correlated with the number of COVID-19 tests performed. For the past 2 weeks the rate of new COVID-19 cases has been constant, suggesting that the epidemic is under control. Given the strong correlation between cases and tests it seems likely that if testing were to increase the number of cases would also increase. We cannot conclude that the epidemic is under control until there is sustained decreases in cases without corresponding decreases in tests.
